Hej! My name is Isabelle Troija. I was born in Sweden, raised in the USA, and most recently I lived in Singapore, where I graduated from Singapore American School.

These three countries are my home in different ways! Now, I have the pleasure of living in Tokyo, where I intern at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Japan while preparing for my upcoming studies in business and economics in London.

I feel fortunate to live an international life, experiencing diverse cultures and broadening my horizons. From Europe to North America, and now Asia, my upbringing and various cultural experiences have shaped my desire to continue this path. My goal is to have a career that allows me to explore life in a global environment.

When I visited Japan in the autumn of 2024, I was fascinated by my travels throughout the country. While Tokyo captivated me with its exciting, fast-paced environment, I also thoroughly enjoyed my time venturing outside the capital. I found Kyoto to be a charming place to discover Japanese culture and traditions. Osaka was invigorating, full of light and splendor. Hiroshima deepened my historical understanding of Japanese perseverance and growth. My visit in 2024 sparked an interest in returning and learning more about the intricacies of society here.

I am thrilled to be back in Tokyo to immerse myself in the business side of things while doing my internship. I look forward to collaborating with new colleagues and strengthening the relationship between Sweden and Japan during my time at SCCJ!
